Country Week assistance program
Country Week assistance program
Country Week is an exciting opportunity for students from public and non-government schools across Western Australia to come together to compete in a range of sports.
Sports include AFL, soccer, netball, basketball, badminton, hockey, indoor cricket, touch football, volleyball and dance.
The new Country Week assistance program will make travel and accommodation more affordable for families.
$8 million has been allocated to fund the Country Week assistance program over the next 4 years. The level of financial support provided will depend on the school’s distance from Perth, as follows:
- $250 per student attending a school that is located 300 km or less from Perth
- $500 per student attending a school that is more than 300 km from Perth.
Senior High Schools Country Week runs from 30 June to 4 July 2025, and District High Schools Country Week runs from 22 to 25 September 2025.
Families of students participating in Country Week will be advised of the payment arrangements and eligible amounts by their school.
